The program, whose academic sponsor is the University of Virginia, consists of a study abroad experience that travels completely by ship (hence, “at Sea”), called the MV Explorer. We see our students in the classroom every day at sea, but we also see them at every meal, as we enter and exit our cabins (we live in the same long hallways as the students) and as we travel in port cities and countries. Sea|mester Base Tuition for any voyage includes all academic instruction and USF School of Record transcripts and fees. In addition to the academic transcript issued by USF, all students are issued Sea|mester transcripts, our official record of a student’s academic progress and achievement that reflects grades and contact hours for both academic and vocational courses.
